guitarist born in Lisbon, with public activity since 1989. From that to 1997 he studies and experiments with prepared guitar, mainly acoustic. Since then his interests shifted to the development of a personal language for fingerstyle electric guitar and started working in a regular basis with bassist Margarida Garcia. A lot of acoustic guitar has been played at home in the last years, and it has also been possible to find him playing with bands Osso Exótico, Curia, Dru, and collaborating with David Maranha and Afonso Simões. Worked with Sei Miguel from 1997 to 2005. Founds the record label Headlights in 1998. Draws and shoots.

Weasel Walter is a multi-instrumentalist from Oakland, CA. In early 80's he started the well known jazz/punk outfit The Flying Luttenbachers, which became one of the most interesting band these days. Now, he plays with tons of improvisers from all over the globe including Jim O'Rourke, Kevin Drumm, Henry Kaiser, Sheik Anorak, Mario Rechtern and many more... !

Sheik Anorak lives in Lyon, France where he started the indepedent label Gaffer records. Gaffer's roster include great artists such as Jazkamer (no), Offonoff (Paal Nilssen Love, Terrie EX and Massimo ZU ), MoHa !, Tape That, Talibam !, Mats Gustafsson... Mario Rechtern now lives in Vienna, Austria ... and sometimes in Italy. He's one of the most talented sax player nowadays. He uses several old instruments and electronic devices in order to give birth to " never heard before" sounds.

Après avoir produit diverses installations mobiles et sonores mécanisées et automatisées, il s'est orienté depuis 2004 vers une démonstration plus proprement musicale de ses installations en opérant un rétrécissement jusqu'à la formule portative actuelle : Il s'agit de valises en carton ouvertes au public dans lesquelles de petits dispositifs mécaniques simplissimes produisent les sons que leur concepteur compile, module, mixe, grâce à une console bricolée et une table de mixage, et joue de divers instruments fabriqués.

MORGE (improvisation trombone)Ce sont en quelques sortes des « expériences d'écoute » proposées par Mathias Forge. Il travaille le trombone avec les lieux, les acoustiques et les environnements sonores. A partir de cela, il construit une proposition sonore, en grande partie improvisée. Suivant les contextes, il pourra jouer acoustique ou amplifié et tente de nous faire entendre un peu plus qu'un solo en inscrivant autant que possible ses interventions dans le paysage. MORGE aime confronter sa pratique du son aux contextes dans lesquels il est invité à se produire.

*ww.lowman* est un projet issu de la nébuleuse de Chicago. Bill Lowman est un musicien qui a joué avec une multitude d'artistes : Edith Frost, Smog, Jim O'rourke, Will Oldman, L'Altra. Quand il arrivait à trouver le temps, il officiait dans le duo folk/country Bosco&Jorge, et à ses heures perdues, il s'est mis a travaillé seul. En 2006 il sort un premier album : « Plain Songs », s'entourant de nombreux amis : Frank Navin, Mark greenberg, Lindsay Anderson. En mai 2009 est prévu le second album.

*Thousand* est la moitié de Thousand&Bramier. Thousand créé de façon plus personnelle encore, introspective, avec fugacité. C'est un jeune homme créatif, touche à tout et multi-instrumentiste. Il trouve le temps de composer en solitaire. Un premier album (limité) est sorti en 2008. Les collaborations se sont enchainées : H-Burns, Pokett, Perio... Le voilà sur tous les fronts d'un Indie Folk hexagonal. Mais Thousand n'en a pas moins oublié son ouvrage, son exutoire. Un second album est prévu début mars : « Flying pyramid »

Slaughterin' Slobbersville est un spectacle/concert/pièce de théâtre itinérant ou différents artistes collaborent autour d'une histoire conceptuelle se passant dans le futur mutant... Inspirés par les spectacles de vaudeville et de Cabaret du passé mais musicalement tourné vers l'expérimentale, le bruit, l'ordinateur ou le spoken-word dans un mix de théâtre et musique viscéral et surprenant.

Slaughterin' Slobbersville is a traveling showcase of cross-collaborating artists. The show is an ever-changing sequence of first person vignettes hung loosely from the underlying conceptual history of a genetic mutant civil war in 2024. While the story takes place decades into the future, the format and aesthetic borrows heavily from the vaudevillian traveling shows of the past. The artists involved come from a variety of backgrounds - mostly from around the United States. Musically rooted in experimental, computer, noise, cabaret, and spoken word traditions, the artists all share a common passion for combining theater and music into visceral performances that defy expectations.

Costumes and sets are created from refuse and inexpensive materials often found along the journey. This contrasts sharply with highly technical computer driven projections, electronic music and sophisticated conceptual content. Collaborative contributions include the design of project specific software, homemade synthesizers, original compositions, choreography, and story-telling. The dichotomy between the makeshift folk aesthetic and techonology is intentional ; causing a suspension of disbelief between order and chaos that helps the viewer integrate with Slobbersville.

Although the core narrative of the show is well defined, the professionalism of the performers allows for a freedom of creative evolution from show to show. This is a central theme of vaudevillian traveling shows and is our motivating factor for undertaking this project. Video documentation throughout the tour will illustrate the unfolding development of Slobbersville and capture the resulting spontaneous collective inventions.
